The final leg of our travels during the month of July took us to Michigan. Sarah met us there, and the whole family got to meet Amelia. She and Grandpa hit it off right away!
Marley was all about hanging out with his Grandma all week. She was the first person he asked for every morning when he woke up!
We were very excited to meet our new niece, Lilyana. She is six weeks older than Amelia, and maybe six pounds lighter, too! I'm sure this is only the beginning of the side-by-side cousins pictures.
We made a trip to the Detroit Zoo one very hot day. The polar bear exhibit, alone, was worth it. Cyndi was a very prepared Auntie and brought special snacks and prizes for all the kids.
Alicia set up a super fun painting activity for Marley one day in the backyard. He used his hands, feet, and even chest to paint on a giant white piece of paper. She even got him all cleaned up afterward!
I had never been to the Ann Arbor Street Fair before. I couldn't believe how huge it was! We didn't buy anything, but had lots of fun walking around despite the fact that we got stuck in a huge thunderstorm.
Our friends, Karen and Paul, got married on July 1st in a small ceremony, and had a really fun Hawaiian themed party while we were there to celebrate with everyone who was unable to be at the wedding. Congratulations, Karen and Paul!
